JOB SUMMARY
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing employee data, processing payments, addressing payroll inquiries, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ownership of the end-to-end payroll process for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established deadlines. Collaborate across functions to ensure proper documentation and reporting for new hires, terminations, and personal changes are completed timely and accurately. Maintain and update the payroll system to ensure accurate employee data, payroll records, and reporting. Ensure all payroll activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Audit bi-weekly time & attendance hours for accuracy and balancing prior to payroll transmission, verifying hours worked, overtime rules, alternate work schedules, PTO, holidays, etc. Provide support to employees regarding payroll, benefits, and HRIS inquiries. Manage payroll email inbox, ensuring timely response to questions, concerns and data entry requests. Generate and analyze payroll reports to support HR and finance functions. Provide assistance with audits as needed and work closely with internal and external partners in finance, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Three to five years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment. Familiarity with payroll software and timekeeping systems. Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred:
Degree in accounting, finance, human resources or a related field. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) Familiarity with Paycor systems. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however, evening and weekend work may be required as business needs demand.
