Description Housekeeper (Room Attendant) 402135 Department: Rooms Reports To: Executive Housekeeper FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role ensures that all guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay by providing them with a clean and welcoming environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing linens and toiletries. Clean and maintain bathrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, and floors. Restock supplies such as towels, soaps, and tissues in guest rooms and public restrooms. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost-and-found items to the Housekeeping Manager. Follow hotel security protocols and ensure the safety and privacy of guests. Perform general cleaning tasks in public areas, such as lobbies, corridors, and stairwells. Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner. Adhere to the hotel's standards for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the hotel property for the majority of the work shift. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel frequently.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a hotel environment. This role routinely uses standard cleaning supplies and equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
