Setting: Outpatient Jackson is currently seeking a PTA for a contract position at an area facility where they'll provide expert therapy to patients with injuries or illnesses to help them improve movement, manage pain, and/or prevent the loss of mobility. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program. Current state license in good standing with the State License Board and up-to-date state and contract-required competency tests and credentials. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Job Summary Responsible for providing, under the direction of a physical therapist, therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. Complies with all resident rights per the companys Resident Rights Policy. Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities. Qualifications Education: Associate Degree Experience: 0-1 years Licenses and Certifications Current CPR Certification for healthcare providers through CPR training that includes hands on practice and in-person skills assessment preferred. Physical Requirements Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. The candidate should possess a passion for the geriatric population, hold a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and have the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents in improving their experience.

Job Description:

Assist the PT with therapies designed to improve mobility, relieve pain, prevent or limit permanent physical disability, and promote overall fitness and wellness in a skilled nursing facility.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

SNF experience preferred but not required Must possess a valid PTA license in the state of practice
