Assist with finishing of manufactured parts, including but not limited to cutting, sanding, deburring, and polishing. Utilize various grinding equipment such as flexible shaft grinders, pencil type grinders, cut-off wheels, and sanding wheels. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures. Perform basic daily maintenance or checks on equipment. Other duties as necessary. SKILLS And QUALIFICATIONS Ability to perform thorough unaided visual inspections on small parts. Working knowledge of manufacturing principles and basic shop math. High degree of manual dexterity while using grinding equipment. Ability to read and follow work orders, set up data sheets, and measurement instructions. This entry level position feeds into lines of promotion of increasing responsibility involved in the production of Ni-base alloys supplying the Aerospace industries. Compensation: $29.22/hr. Training rate $30.35/hr.
