Installation Technician - Install Field Services Bothell, WA, USA • 2805 E Plano Pkwy #300, Plano, TX 75074, USA • Chesterfield, MI 48051, USA Job Description Posted Monday, September 16, 2024 at 5:00 AM Job Summary: The Installation Technician, Install Field Services responsibility is to travel to the customers site and assist in the reassembly, operation, and usage of AIT manufactured equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs and maintains production machines, production equipment, and facility’s equipment. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems. Responds to troubleshoot, repair or improve individual machines and/or whole line mechanical, electrical power and control systems and perform repairs and provide preventative maintenance on production and non-production equipment as directed by supervision. Facilitates in the transfer of tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and areas. Review blueprints and models for tool assembly sequence, details, and assemblies. Set-up and run mills, lathes, grinding machines to adjust details and assemblies in accordance with blueprint tolerances and specifications. Plumb vacuum systems; verifies integrity through pressure testing and leak checks. Drill clearance holes, drill and tap holes, and locate and drill precision holes with hand drills and the use of magnet drills. Perform minor MIG welding for spot and repair requirements. Understand, mix, pour and utilize two-part epoxies such as REPRO and Quikrete. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
Associates degree or related career field experience preferred. Technical certification/trade school apprenticeship is a plus. Minimum of four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:
This position may require a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Work Conditions:
Indoors. Production and office environment. Temperature controlled, unless products and/or equipment is located outdoors.

Work Hours:
Standard work schedule; overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions.
Travel Requirements:
Remote - perform job responsibilities from customer work sites. Travel may require two or three-week intervals between work site and employee domicile. International travel may be required; employee would be expected to meet international requirements for entry.
Competencies - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices. Constructs all types of major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master gauges and related tooling products. Assembles and fastens component parts together, using hand tools, power tools, and bench machines. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools and other various equipment. Sets-up and operates power machine tools and accessories for the machining of tools and dies. Prepares breakdown of jigs and fixtures, tool masters or master tooling gauges into components. Lifts, loads, sorts, and moves materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas, using pushcarts, dolly, hoist, cranes, forklifts and manlifts. Behaves consistently and predictably; is reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling obligations and diligently follows through on commitments and consistently meets deadlines. Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved. Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms. Understands how to use computers, including such tasks as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigating to websites, performing searches, and downloading files. Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing programs, and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office). Comfortable communicating with different levels of management, team members, and customers.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Please see Human Resources for detailed information for each physical demand. Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
