What You'll Do: The Production Operator - Filling Machine ensures that filling equipment, tools, supplies, and work areas are maintained according to applicable GMP. Responsibilities include the safe set-up, operation and sanitation of high-speed filling and packaging equipment including but not limited to fillers, cappers, labelers, case erecters, case packers, case and/or bottle coders, palletizers and pallet wrappers. Accurately record production data and turn all related documents to inventory control at end of shift. Effectively correct downtime issues and report issues impacting operational efficiency immediately to their line lead or supervisor. Perform equipment changeovers, set-ups, troubleshooting and adjustments. Conduct flavor changes, wash-outs and weekly cleaning: i.e., tanks, pipes and equipment (CIP and COP) and floors. Calibrate and operate pH meters and refractometers, perform quality assurance monitoring. Hand stack and/or manually pack-off products. Maintain all quality, sanitation and production documents in accordance with plant quality, safety and environmental requirements. Safely handle chemicals, perform chemical testing and document strength and usage. Operate manual and/or electrical pallet jacks.
What You Need to Succeed:
High School graduate or equivalent required. Basic math skills, ability to calculate percentages accurately. 1 year manufacturing experience, preferably in a chemical or food processing facility. 6 months prior lift truck operation and safety certification. Use of MS products required, SAP software preferred. Attend work as scheduled 10:30PM – 7:00AM, Mon-Fri , and be available to work overtime on Saturday if needed.
