Scope of Job: As a Technician, you'll be the magic behind the scenes, helping us maintain a smooth, safe, and efficient attraction experience for all our guests! From keeping the lights on to ensuring the equipment runs flawlessly, your role will help bring joy and excitement to everyone who walks through the door. Your Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Maintenance:
Keep the attraction running smoothly by maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment and machinery (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, audio-visual, and more!). Work your magic on themed attractions, making sure they’re always in tip-top shape. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Preventative Maintenance (PM) to ensure everything runs like clockwork.
Tech-Savvy Tasks:
Repair and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment for both old and new exhibits. Re-lamp and repair lighting systems, and keep everything looking bright! Handle exhibit setup, takedown, and ensure smooth shipping and receiving.
General Maintenance:
Install light bulbs, projectors, and even fix doors! Handle basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and networking tasks. Keep the workspace safe and organized while following safety procedures to protect yourself, your colleagues, and our guests.
Skills & Knowledge You’ll Need:
Tech & Tool Expertise:
Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills. Familiar with basic data and networking systems. Knowledge of pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and AV systems. Comfortable using tools and power equipment like a pro.
PC & Safety Savvy:
Troubleshooting hardware/software issues. Knowledge of safety practices, including OSHA standards and PPE.
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of maintenance experience (or equivalent education/experience). Proven ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure. Flexible, self-motivated, and passionate about maintaining high service standards! Ideally, you have experience in a technical or themed environment (rides, animation, automation, etc.).
Work Environment:
Your work may take you inside or outside, with varying temperatures and surfaces. Must be comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights up to 20 feet.
Other Requirements:
Willing to work flexible hours (evenings, holidays, weekends). Occasionally exposed to chemicals, loud environments, or hazardous materials. Must be willing to perform other duties as needed — we keep things exciting around here!
