OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES March 3, 2023 POSITION: Graduate Associate (Doctor of Chiropractic Program) DEPARTMENT: Integrated Chiropractic Therapies REPORTS TO: Dean of Faculty and Research DIVISION: Academic Affairs STATUS: Part-Time Hourly rate: $20 per hour GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Graduate Associate is responsible for assisting the lead lab instructor in various Doctor of Chiropractic program laboratory classes and participating in open adjusting labs with another faculty member. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help students learn the various skills that may be required for the laboratory class. Each course would require the learning of the science and art of performing the assessment, normal and abnormal findings, and its associated clinical interpretation. Observe and assist students in the performance of the various adjustive/diagnostic procedures on other students as required for scheduled lab. Assist students and lead instructor in performing the tasks at hand as outlined in the trimester's syllabus. Work closely with the lead instructor to maintain a consistency in both the performance and interpretation of the various chiropractic or diagnostic techniques. Observe and assist students in the performance of various adjustive procedures on other students during lab sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Chiropractic degree holding a New York State license. Solid adjusting skills are necessary. Clinical experience in the area of chiropractic technique is helpful. Ability to interact effectively with students as a teacher and a role model is essential. Prior teaching experience is desirable.
