Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician II
Job Description
The Biomedical Equipment Technician II performs operational and safety testing, maintenance, and repairs on patient care equipment. Responsibilities include technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned medical equipment, repair of damaged medical equipment, and overhaul of medical equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned medical equipment. Complete repair of damaged medical equipment. Complete overhaul of medical equipment. Use authorized Army Automation Systems, which include, but are not limited to, the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), the Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E), Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), Global Combat Support System (GCSS) and other systems that are specifically authorized by the USAMMA M3D. Possess the training and abilities to technically inspect, repair, calibrate, and overhaul medical equipment. Perform calibration and PMCS.
Qualifications Must possess knowledge maintenance actions: technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment. Good communication and time management skills. Minimum two (2) years of experience as a BMET. As a minimum, BMETs shall be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course or certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET) or have at least earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology. A background check will be conducted. Possess the ability to pass a NACI background investigation and acquire a CACard. Possess the ability to pass a NCIC investigation and scored credit check per federal and contractual requirements. Experience with the Department of Defense, preferred.
Travel
Willingness and ability to travel frequently (15% to 25%) as required.
Salary
$27.64 - $30.77 per hour
$57,500.00 - $64,000.00 Annualized
Shift: Monday-Friday, 0630-1500 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM EST

Work Environment This position requires significant travel.
Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. at a time, the ability to push/pull equipment to and from carts, and the ability to kneel, stand, bend, and reach during equipment repair/maintenance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
