Essential Job Functions Work under close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Assist with finishing of manufactured parts, including but not limited to cutting, sanding, deburring, and polishing. Utilize various grinding equipment such as flexible shaft grinders, pencil type grinders, cut-off wheels, and sanding wheels. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures. Perform basic daily maintenance or checks on equipment. Other duties as necessary. SKILLS And QUALIFICATIONS Ability to perform thorough unaided visual inspections on small parts. Working knowledge of manufacturing principles and basic shop math. High degree of manual dexterity while using grinding equipment. Ability to read and follow work orders, set up data sheets, and measurement instructions. Roll Grinders will operate any of the four (4) roll grinding machines and produce high-quality ground rolls in strict compliance with our established standards. Responsibilities

Operate any of the four (4) roll grinding machines and produce high-quality ground rolls in strict compliance with our established standards. Use the SAP system to put in maintenance or safety work orders as needed. Communicate effectively within the department and externally using email. Utilize Lotus Notes systems to search for the latest job SOPs, JHAs, and JIs. Stay abreast of the latest process and product requirements using the Shop Floor Process Control Plan system. Participate in all Safety programs. Create written reports, document results, and maintain records; sharing information with coworkers is a must. Recognize “machine personality” and out-of-the-ordinary conditions with attention to detail.

Qualifications
