We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. What You’ll Do As a Welding Career/Technical Educator Instructor , the day-to-day responsibilities include: Work with the students and the educational staff to assist students with an academic and career pathways plan. Maintain a safe instructional environment while safeguarding and maintaining equipment and tools. Attend and participate in staff meetings, attend and complete professional development training and attend other meetings on behalf of the project. Perform other duties as assigned. Complete paperwork, maintain records, including students, and assist with tracking critical data elements such as industry recognized certifications. Access computer databases to review student test scores, complete lesson plans, class rosters, and accurate attendance records. Guide and advise students, including those with academic problems and recommend resources available to enhance student success. Stay current with Florida Department of Education technical assistance paper reports. Teach an appropriate, assigned career/technical education program through the facilitation of a teaching environment (lecture, group, or individual) targeting a diverse population resulting in the earning of appropriate industry recognized certifications.
Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or its equivalent, and six years of experience in the vocational being taught; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution, and two years of occupational experience in the vocation being taught. Additional education or training may substitute on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required experience.
