Position Summary Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a chance to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen weeks and includes:
General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform roles of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating industrial cleaning equipment. Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements. Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to meet quality, safety, and customer service standards. Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment. Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards. Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities including payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
Additional Responsibilities
Communication: Effectively relay directives from managers and staff. Safety: Use protective gear, follow safety guidelines, and report issues promptly. Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to paging systems. Customer Experience: Represent HCSG professionally, ensuring positive interactions.
Qualifications
Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks. Leadership skills post-training to operate independently without injury. High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies. Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods. Ability to work around food and cleaning products. Reside within the service area.
