Job Description

Position: Car Mechanic Location: Columbus, Ohio Employment Type: Full-time Pay: Based on experience Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including domestic and foreign cars. Conduct routine services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements. Troubleshoot and identify mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and HVAC systems. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure all systems are functioning correctly and meet safety standards. Test drive vehicles to identify issues and confirm proper repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues and repair processes to clients in an easy-to-understand manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to shop safety standards and procedures. Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic or technician. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and diagnostics. Certifications (Preferred): ASE certification or equivalent is highly desirable. Tools: Must have your own set of professional-grade tools (specialty tools provided by the shop). Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in various physical positions.
