Office open Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm We will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), E-Verify, and do pre-employment drug screening on all employees. Responsibilities The Mechanic takes a leadership role for fleet needs and shop organization and security. This person works closely with executive management and follows their directions to repair and maintain everything from small engines to large heavy equipment. Must have knowledge of and support the Driver Safety & Risk Management program. Works overtime as necessary and travels to do field mechanic work as requested. Assists all supervisors, operators, laborers, and other mechanics as requested. Willing to work in a noisy environment. Thorough knowledge of mechanical operations. Excellent mechanical aptitude. Has personal tools and is willing to use them on the job. Able to use power tools. Excellent working knowledge of automotive electronics. Prompt, reliable, and consistently hard working. Safely works around heavy equipment. Ensures that the repairs are completed quickly and accurately. Operates all equipment and drives trucks when necessary. Performs general vehicle maintenance and service of fleet vehicles and equipment. Experience in Vehicle Diagnostics. Purchasing of Parts and Equipment. Record Keeping (Tags and Registration, Oil Changes, Tire Rotations, Mileage / Hours). Cleaning and Organization of Shop and Equipment. Organizational Skills a must. Qualifications General responsibilities for all: Applicant must be able to work well with crew members and follow direction. You will be working outdoors in the summer months, so temperatures can be extreme. Must not be afraid to operate a shovel or rake. Must have a valid driver’s license with a favorable motor vehicle record. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying heavy objects (50 lb), walking and standing for long periods of time, and performing physical labor under adverse conditions.
