Job Description FUN!!! If you love working with children of all ages, discovering, creating, and experimenting, then this is the position for you! Our Explorers program is an after school and summer camp for Kindergarten thru 4th grade students that attend Upper Arlington elementary schools. As part of our program, our students can receive homework help, develop good character, and have opportunities to work creatively and collaboratively on fun projects! The Explorers teacher brings that program to life to help our students learn and grow! This position is also expected to pick up/drop off the children from school and must be 21 with a valid driver's license. The teacher also plans field trips for summer camp and chaperones these exciting excursions. Prior experience is preferred but not required! Responsibilities:
Responsible for general classroom management and supervision, including personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children. Plan and implement the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum, focusing on physical, social, and emotional growth. Provide school-provided materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities and active play. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities and conduct all activities in a safe, organized, and productive manner.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be able to meet ODJFS requirements for employment. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. MLBC2023 #J-18808-Ljbffr
