Job Description
Mettler Toledo LLC Painter - 2nd Shift in Columbus, Ohio Our company is seeking a skilled Painter/Finisher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in respect to the departmental needs. This individual will work with blueprints, shop orders, written procedures, and verbal instructions to operate overhead cranes, abrasive shot blasting equipment, airless, conventional, plural component and HVLP paint spraying systems. They must also be able to operate a variety of hand tools from wrenches and drills to dual action sanders and mixing equipment. The ideal candidate must be skilled in rigging large weldments safely with chains, shackles, and hooks from spreader bars to accommodate the painting of these weldments. Additional Responsibilities:
Visually inspect weldments. Abrade surfaces of metal or hard-composition objects to remove adhering scale and dirt, and to impart specified finish, using abrasive blasting equipment. Maintain booth cleanliness periodically. Wear proper PPE and ensure the proper care, storage and usage of equipment. Operate the Wheelabrator abrasive shot blasting machine in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, written procedures and safe operating practices. Perform routine clean up and TPM of the machine. Record the EPA required data in regards to dust collection and maintain and periodically empty and clean that dust collection system. Operate a forklift safely to load and unload parts on and off the Wheelabrator, as well as deliver parts and put them away at their point of use. Use the forklift and a battery powered barrel dumping system to safely load shot into the machine from 2000# drums.
What You Need to Succeed:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in #J-18808-Ljbffr
