Reports To: Shop Superintendent/Plant Manager Summary: Assist overall direction to mechanics in the maintenance and repair of specialized foundation equipment. Essential Functions: Works under the direction of the Shop Superintendent and Plant Manager to ensure that all equipment is ready to meet operational schedules with regard to maintenance and repair. Implement corporate maintenance and repair programs as directed by the Shop Superintendent and/or Plant Manager with full understanding of mechanical and safety requirements. Work with field personnel to report equipment damages that need repairs in the shop. Other duties as assigned. Education & Training: Electronic Degree (recommended) Requirements: 3-4 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, of which two years should have been in a foreman capacity. Ability to take direction but also to work independently. Ability to receive and understand instructions and to comply through planning and correct management of labor. Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continually. Lifting/carrying/moving up to 100 pounds continually. Able to travel per the company travel policy. Able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy construction environment. Able to work in all types of weather. Rational decision-making ability. Makes final decisions and assumes accountability for them. Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities as needed.
