Job Title: Workload Automation Specialist Location: Hybrid (New Albany, OH | (2 days on-site per week) Contract Length: 6 Months with potential full time conversion Overview: We're seeking a Workload Automation Specialist to manage and optimize business process workflows using workload automation software, particularly BMC's Control-M. This role involves building and validating job flows, ensuring efficiency, and minimizing errors. The specialist will collaborate closely with business partners and application teams to enhance task scheduling and improve operational productivity. Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of data processing experience in a technical role At least 2 years working with workload automation, ideally with BMC Control-M Familiarity with server and cloud applications, network monitoring, and scripting Knowledge of IT methodologies (ITIL, Agile, Six Sigma) preferred Strong communication and customer service skills
Key Responsibilities:
Design and optimize job flows and scheduling across platforms Ensure job automation adheres to standards and meets business needs Provide support and troubleshoot issues with job scheduling and workflow Participate in on-call rotation every third week for 24/7 support Assist in the creation of procedures and best practices for automation tasks Support disaster recovery testing and maintain knowledge articles
Work Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Hybrid model with two days in New Albany office Initial on-site training for one week On-call 24/7 every third week with additional compensation for overtime
