Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm based in Chatham, New Jersey, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Litigation Associate Attorney. This role is focused on handling employment law cases for private-sector corporate clients in New Jersey and New York. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contributes to the firm's success with their expertise in employment law litigation. Duties:
Draft pleadings, motions, and responses Conduct legal research and analysis Prepare and respond to written discovery, including E-discovery Assist with deposition preparations and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations Participate in trial preparation and strategy Manage litigation tasks across various employment law matters, including lawsuits, administrative charges, subpoenas, and pre-litigation demands Collaborate with a team to address client needs and provide high-quality legal service
Requirements:
Minimum 4-6 years of substantive experience in employment law Experience advising clients on employment law matters Admission to the New Jersey Bar (New York Bar admission preferred) Strong attention to detail with exceptional legal writing and communication skills Excellent legal research and problem-solving abilities Proven ability to manage multiple cases and clients concurrently Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
New Jersey Bar Admission (New York Bar admission preferred)
Skills:
Exceptional legal writing and research skills Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases Proficient in using legal software and conducting E-discovery
