Our Corporate division are now seeking a talented Senior Payroll Administrator to join the team. As a member of the YOOX NET-A-PORTER Human Resources department, the US Payroll Supervisor is responsible for managing the department's daily operation and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, reporting, and payroll tax and compliance for our employees who are based in NJ, NY, CA & TX. This individual will be responsible for managing, developing, and improving overall efficiency to lead the payroll area. An experienced Payroll Supervisor who is hands-on and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is critical to success. Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
Oversees procedures and processes and manages inquiries and requests related to preparation and distribution of payroll. Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions on a bi-weekly frequency. Develops strong controls and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payroll for all pay groups. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. Works with internal and external auditors on audits, walkthroughs, and all other compliance-related activity. Works closely with the Finance team on General Ledger posting & payroll budgeting inquiries. Answers questions and provides customer service to internal and external customers regarding payroll matters. Performs other duties as assigned.
The type of person we are looking for:
Extensive knowledge of payroll procedures and functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, payroll taxes, and best practices. Excellent communication & organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in a warehouse environment with employee shift patterns is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to reconcile, audit, and problem-solve. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with ADP GlobalView and Workforce Manager or similar is preferred. Workday experience a plus. Bilingual, Spanish a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. 5+ years of related experience required.
