Litigation Associate
Job Description
A law firm seeks a skilled mid-level Litigation Associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join its Litigation Department. The firm values strong analytical abilities, exceptional writing skills, and a genuine interest in courtroom advocacy. Experience in healthcare and/or energy litigation is preferred but not required. Duties
Represent clients in litigation matters, including conducting court appearances and hearings. Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and legal teams. Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents. Manage discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met effectively. Stay informed on developments in litigation, including healthcare and energy law, when applicable.
Requirements
At least 3 years of litigation experience, commensurate with time in practice. Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills. Exceptional analytical and writing abilities to support case development. Self-motivated and capable of handling a variety of litigation matters independently. Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Skills
Proficiency in legal research and drafting. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative solutions. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Familiarity with healthcare or energy litigation is a plus.
