Executive Director Job Description Position reports to the Board of Directors. The United Way of Johnson County Executive Director serves as the primary leader and strategist for the organization, overseeing its overall operations, growth, and impact to advance the organization's mission to organize caring people to identify and meet human needs in our community. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee all fundraising and advancement efforts including annual residential and workplace campaigns, grant seeking opportunities, event-based fundraising, and supporter acquisition and cultivation efforts. Oversee all grantmaking efforts from the solicitation of applications and the convening of community allocation and review panels to the eventual disbursement of funds. Oversee the management of financial resources, including accurate record keeping, regular reporting, and budgeting. Oversee all marketing efforts, including fostering positive relationships with agency partners, business leaders, government entities, and current and prospective donors. Oversee all United Way of Johnson County programming, including Fast Track, Day of Caring, Christmas Angels, No Place to Call Home, and Helpline. Oversee all United Way of Johnson County staff and volunteers, including building and leading high-performing teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration to achieve organizational results. Work closely with the United Way of Johnson County Board of Directors to achieve strategic initiatives. Serve as a champion for the United Way of Johnson County’s work and impact within the community.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Five (5) years of management experience Experience on issues relevant to the organization, such as workforce development, financial stability, and poverty Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive organizational success Proven ability to build teams, develop partnerships, and build collaboration Must demonstrate a high level of intelligence and intellectual curiosity and a desire to explore new ideas and innovative approaches to solving problems Project and/or program management experience with a demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and execute to achieve desired outcomes Passion for social impact and community service Proven track record of integrity with a demonstrated ability to build trust
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous or current United Way experience Bachelor of Arts or Science in a related field Five plus years of management experience in the non-profit sector Johnson County resident Expertise on issues relevant to the organization, such as workforce development, financial stability, and poverty #J-18808-Ljbffr
