Category: Information Technology Location: Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, United States of America Clearance Type: SCI Telecommute: No- Teleworking not available for this position Shift: 1st Shift (United States of America) Travel Required: Yes, 10% of the Time Positions Available: 1 Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to help support security assessments, monitor, document, and report program security compliance for the 705 Combat Training Squadron (CTS) Infrastructure, Development and Engineering (IDE) and Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC). At the DMOC, Northrop Grumman develops and maintains simulation software (SW) and hardware (HW) solutions, builds, and maintains network infrastructure, designs, and develops simulation SW applications, and evolves and conducts Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) activities. Roles and Responsibilities The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is the focal point for cybersecurity support for the DMOC. Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations such as compliance audits and active evaluations such as vulnerability assessments. Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. This includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification tests, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections, and periodic audits. Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6-3), make recommendations on process tailoring, and participate in and document process activities. Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports. Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M). Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of experience OR 6 years with a Master's Degree. Alternatively, the following qualifications will suffice in lieu of a degree: Equivalent commercial or military training, or certifications 10 years of cybersecurity, information systems administration, and information systems project management experience. Technical/Process/Workflow knowledge that supports the planning, execution, and real-time resolution of complex cybersecurity problems. Ability to provide advanced cybersecurity technical support and manage cybersecurity posture of a complex cybersecurity environment.
Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level II (or higher) security certification. Top Secret security clearance with SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility. Ability to obtain Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification within 12 months of hire. Salary Range: $118,600 - $178,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
