Job Description Under the direction of the clinic director, the assistant clinic director or his/her designee, provides counseling services consisting of comprehensive case management, discharge planning, continuing care services, and clinical assessment, including crisis intervention. In addition, the counselor is responsible for the education of patients, families, and/or significant others. Provides community education as dictated by department or programmatic needs in accordance with established hospital policy and Federal, State, and City standards including those established by OASAS, FDA, DEA, and NIDA. Participates in related functions of the department. Minimum Requirements Prior experience in substance dependence treatment required. Additional language fluency may be preferred. Computer literacy preferred. CASAC required. High School Diploma or Equivalency required. Undergraduate / Bachelor's in Human Services Field preferred.
