Hughston offers multiple surgical centers, rehabilitation centers, and Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. We have more than 75 board-certified, specialty-trained physicians, and have established a medical group to complement our current orthopedic practice. The new multi-specialty group, Hughston Medical Group , is in its initial stages and has already added clinics in Alabama and Columbus, Georgia. Hughston Medical Group is a multi-specialty practice. Our rheumatology department seeks a skilled and motivated Rheumatologist to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional rheumatologic care. Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced rheumatologist or Fellow to join our team in Columbus. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage patients with rheumatic diseases, providing high-quality care and education to our patients. 4 Day Work week. Qualifications: Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited residency in internal medicine. Completion of a fellowship in rheumatology. Board certification in rheumatology within 2 years of joining the practice. State medical license in good standing. Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing rheumatic diseases. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to continuing education and professional development. Compensation and Benefits: Be your own boss at year 2. Choose how you want to practice and how you feel you can best serve your patients. Focus on the rheumatic conditions you prefer, rather than those you don't. $200,000 Starting Salary plus a Sign-on Bonus in first paycheck. Retention bonus at the end of year 1. 401K with 6% employer match - immediate vesting. Profit-sharing plan w/ corporate contribution starting at year two. Paid Term life insurance. Shareholder Status after 1 year Own your own Practice at year 2 with Support Services to run your practice from COPC. Additional incentive opportunities are possible when quality care measures are reached. 16 patients a day. EMR:EPIC Referral base - COPC employs over 400 primary care providers, but we also accept referrals from outside of COPC (OhioHealth, Mount Carmel, OSU) Supportive and collaborative work environment.
