POSITION SUMMARY Sourcepass is seeking an experienced, resourceful, and passionate Vice President, Human Resources to serve as a key leader within the People & Culture Team reporting directly to the CEO. This strategic role will be instrumental in balancing the needs of our organization with the well-being and development of our employees. Leveraging empathy, sound judgment, exceptional communication skills, and adaptability, the VP, HR will drive initiatives that align with Sourcepass' mission and values. This role includes oversight of critical HR functions, such as talent acquisition, benefits, company culture, M&A people integration, Learning & Development, and HR information systems (HRIS). The VP, HR will also collaborate closely with the company's internal General Counsel on policy development, employment matters, and compliance. This is a hybrid role requiring you to be at our headquarters in Melville, NY at least 3x/week. The salary for this position is $140,000+ (negotiable based on experience). RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, driving employee enablement. Develop and execute strategic HR plans that align with organizational goals and priorities.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering their growth and development. Ensure accountability within the team, identifying gaps and maintaining alignment with objectives. Identify key performance indicators for the company's human resource and talent management functions; assess the company's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
Partner with the Core team to ensure positions are filled promptly with top talent. Support talent acquisition efforts through sourcing best practices and creative hiring solutions, including for overseas employees. Build and implement innovative programs to enhance candidate flow and talent pipelines.
Learning and Development:
Oversee professional development initiatives to address organizational needs. Partner with the Director, Learning & Development to create and execute impactful training programs. Maintain open communication with L&D and department leaders, ensuring their learning needs are addressed.
Culture and Communications:
Collaborate with the Culture & Communications Manager to foster employee satisfaction and conduct regular employee pulse surveys. Lead cultural initiatives across eight offices and a remote workforce, including overseas employees, to strengthen engagement.
Employee Benefits & 401(k):
Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisals, and employee incentive programs. Manage and oversee employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, and 401(k) plans. Negotiate and communicate with vendors to secure competitive rates and comprehensive benefits offerings. Provide employees with clear and timely updates on benefits programs and options.
Compliance & Policy:
Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements. Stay current with and maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with the company's General Counsel to create, review, and update policies as needed.
HR Operations:
Oversee the daily workflow of the department. Conduct Workday audits to ensure the accuracy of HR data and reporting. Maintain precise and timely employee records with a focus on confidentiality and attention to detail. Provide guidance on personnel and performance management matters. Collaborate with the People Systems Administrator to enhance and expand Workday functionality. Maintain and manage the HR ticketing system to handle employee requests. Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy and the General Counsel's advice and guidance.
DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE
10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership roles, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development highly preferred. Proven ability to manage and lead HR teams effectively. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred. Proven track record of implementing HR strategies that drive business results. Strong knowledge of HR-related compliance and legislative requirements. Experience in change management and organizational development. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
