Data Center Operations Manager, DCO Manager

Responsibilities
- Operationally responsible for a data center.
- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
- Manage performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across different locations.
- Develop career paths and update them in internal tools.
- Recruit and train technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangement, and hardware logistics.
- Act as the subject‑matter expert across all aspects of data center operations.
- Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are measured and met.
- Inspire and guide improvement in team processes, technology innovation and automation.
- Lead large‑scale events (outages) and coordinate the on‑call schedule.
- Document and enforce policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
- Maintain the on‑call schedule and coordinate absences and vacations.
- Continuously strive to improve customer experience.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed; work at alternative sites during training or until assigned facility is operational.
- Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
- 2+ years of people‑management experience.
- 2+ years of operations and on‑call support for data center or mission‑critical facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repairing.
- Experience in technical writing in a relevant field.
- Certification in an applicable field such as A+, Net+, Sec+, CCNA, LPIC, Linux+, AWS certification, CND, Network+ or Security+.
- Experience with system‑management tools and client/server environments.

Location: USA, Virginia, Ashburn Salary: 78,400.00 – 137,300.00 USD annually.
