Having completed or undergoing education in paralegal/legal assistant studies is a plus.

Company Description
We are small (3 lawyers) plaintiff's litigation law firm located on Capital Street in downtown Charleston. We are hiring because one of our very long-time paralegals is retiring. We handle of variety of personal injury cases so there is the opportunity to learn something new with most cases.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal at Tiano O'Dell, PLLC, located in Charleston, WV. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys, including drafting legal documents, and managing case files. The role also involves scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and communicating with clients and other legal professionals. Overall, the Legal Assistant/Paralegal will play a key role in ensuring that the legal team operates efficiently and effectively. We are willing to train someone coming out of school.
Qualifications
- Ability to draft or learn how to draft legal documents and perform some legal research
- Managing case files and scheduling meetings
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using legal software, AI and other office applications
- Degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred
- Ability to get along with others and work as a team member
