About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Privacy Officer and General Counsel to lead its global legal function. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracting, corporate governance, and risk mitigation. This role also involves ensuring compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations, safeguarding sensitive information, and implementing policies to protect both customer and employee data. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate degree, an active license to practice law, and at least 15 years of legal experience, with a preference for those with experience in German law. Key responsibilities for the Chief Privacy Officer and General Counsel include managing the contracting processes for the sale of the company's products and services, driving the standardization and continuous improvement of commercial contract terms, and serving as a cross-functional business partner to provide expert legal guidance. The role requires a proactive leader with strong communication, leadership, and business acumen, who can effectively manage a global legal team and lead the legal integration of acquired entities. The candidate should be a disciplined self-starter, with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Experience in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment is essential.
