About the Role

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key partner in providing legal support for a variety of business activities, with a strong focus on contract review, management, and negotiations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The General Counsel will be responsible for a range of legal matters, including but not limited to, contracts with marketing and technology providers, licensing agreements, merchandise vendor agreements, and lease negotiations. Additionally, the role involves serving as a liaison with outside counsel and providing legal support for escalated customer issues.Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company must have a Juris Doctorate degree, be Bar admitted (Pennsylvania) or have an in-house counsel license, and have a strong background in consumer privacy law. A Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is preferred. Retail business experience is essential, and knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus. The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging contract management software, have a proactive approach to legal support, and be able to effectively manage a variety of legal issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
