About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Advancement, with a focus on Danforth and University Initiatives. The successful candidate will be a strategic and collaborative professional, responsible for leading a team that serves as the primary link between the institution and its various interdisciplinary programs. This role involves working closely with academic leaders to set and execute short- and long-term advancement strategies, as well as engaging with key volunteers and faculty to enhance philanthropic support. The Executive Director will also manage a team of staff, oversee unit goals, and serve as a subject matter expert for all opportunities related to the initiatives.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those with a leadership background. The role requires strong skills in staff management, budgeting, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships across the advancement division. The Executive Director will be expected to have a deep understanding of the institution's priorities and the educational resources it provides. Additionally, the role demands a high level of accountability, the ability to navigate and manage gift agreements, and a proven track record in fundraising. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, have excellent communication skills, and be committed to the values of diversity and inclusion.
