About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Member Services to lead the development and implementation of strategies that enhance the value and benefits of membership. The successful candidate will be responsible for the growth and retention of members, with a focus on both national and international segments. This executive-level position requires a self-motivated leader with a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in association management or local government. The role involves overseeing a professional staff, managing a budget, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality member services, including career advancement, ethics programs, and relationship management. The Managing Director will also be a key member of the Leadership Team, participating in strategic planning and supporting the CEO in the organization's mission.Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include evaluating and implementing opportunities to strengthen member services, building and maintaining strong relationships with members and stakeholders, and using data-driven approaches to continuously improve membership and engagement. The ideal candidate will have exceptional business acumen, be an expert in strategic project management, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. They should be a visionary leader with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to model servant leadership. The role also involves providing technical advice on local government policies, representing the organization's position on ethical issues, and leading the development of partnerships with other organizations in the field. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is the ability to work with a diverse range of audiences.
