Electrical Fire Alarm Apprentice
to work out of our Babylon, NY office.
As part of Encore's mission to be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen, we have recently joined forces with Checkmate Security Systems Inc. based out of Babylon, NY. This partnership not only allows us to expand our footprint and find top talent in the NH area, it also allows us to work with industry leaders who strive for same level of excellence as we do.
What You Will Be Doing: Assist experienced technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Learn and apply electrical theory, codes, and safety practices under the guidance of a mentor. Perform basic tasks such as running wires, connecting circuits, and troubleshooting electrical problems. Gain hands-on experience with power distribution systems, lighting fixtures, and control systems related to fire alarm systems. Follow instructions carefully and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations. Utilize tools and equipment effectively to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Assist in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements: Whether you have been in the trade for a while or are just starting out, we encourage you to apply if you have the 'can-do' attitude to get things done and take pride in your work. While experience is preferred, we are willing to talk to those who value what it means to get things done and make it happen.
What You'll Need to Do it: Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50lbs. Must have valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the the state of NYC area and Long Island area. Must be able to pass a drug screen/background check as condition of employment
