Mid-Level Civil/Structural Engineer

Responsibilities: Due to continued growth, our West Coast Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Mid-Level Civil/Structural Engineer onsite at Diablo Canyon Power Plant in Avila Beach, CA.

Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and possess the ability to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines

Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors

Prepare design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates

Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight

Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipment

Devise new approaches to technical problems

Travel and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up

Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards of all assigned projects

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university

Minimum of 3 years of power system design experience in the Nuclear Industry

Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired

Knowledge of discipline-specific computer analysis codes as well as standard office production software

Proficient in Word and Excel

Familiar with the International Building code and building code design

Good writing, presentation, and communication skills

Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams

Familiar with concrete and steel design codes and with working stress and ultimate strength design approaches

Salary Range

The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

Pay Range: USD $78,400.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr. Additional Information:
