WE LOVE OUR WORK.: The Director of Enterprise Data Management is responsible for leading and managing the overall data strategy of the organization, including governance, data quality, data architecture, and data operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that data is treated as a valuable asset, enabling the organization to make informed business decisions. The Director will work closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and business units to implement a cohesive data management framework that supports enterprise objectives.
Develop and lead the implementation of an enterprise-wide data management strategy aligned with business goals.
Ensure the organization maximizes value from its data assets by overseeing data governance, data quality, and data security initiatives.
Lead data modernization initiatives, including cloud migrations, big data adoption, and advanced analytics implementations.
Establish and manage data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistent, secure, and reliable data across the organization.
Collaborate with business units to define data ownership, stewardship, and responsibilities.
Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements related to data management, such as GDPR and CCPA
Oversee the development and maintenance of a scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture that supports data warehousing, data lakes, and data analytics platforms.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data across various platforms, applications, and third-party systems.
Design and implement data models and workflows to support operational, analytical, and reporting needs.
Implement and manage processes to continuously monitor and improve data quality and integrity across all data sources.
Oversee data operations, including data acquisition, cleansing, transformation, and storage.
Build, lead, and mentor an enterprise data management team
Foster a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote data management best practices and ensure data initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
Identify emerging trends in data management, big data, and advanced analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Partner with data science and analytics teams to leverage data for predictive modeling, business intelligence, and other strategic initiatives.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven track record of successfully implementing enterprise-wide data management strategies and initiatives.
Strong experience with data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data integration in large, complex environments.
Experience with SQL Server and Google BigQuery
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data technologies (data lakes, data warehouses, ETL, big data, etc.).
Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, data management tools, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Ability to manage complex data projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Forward thinker who designs for not only current business needs but long-term opportunities and trends
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
