Job Description
Botetourt Veterinary Hospital, a small animal general practice in Troutville, VA, is looking to fill a newly created role, Hospital Assistant.
As a Hospital Assistant, you will rotate through different roles in the clinic, including customer service representative, veterinary assistant, surgical assistant, and kennel technician.
Responsibilities: Ensuring medical records are kept up to date.
Invoicing clients.
Clerical work.
Obtaining medical history.
Restraining for doctors and veterinary technicians.
Filling doctor-prescribed medications.
Running lab samples in the clinic.
Taking care of boarders.
Holding for vet techs to sedate surgical patients.
Cleaning up surgery, surgical instruments, and wrapping packs.
