Responsibilities

Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.

Within parameters determine routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.

Consult rate schedule for specific rates depending on method of shipment and/or distance shipped.

Assess the most economical and efficient common or contract carrier to transport shipments.

Calculate and record storage, redelivery, and other applicable charges.

May reroute urgent shipments or arrange for special delivery at destination.

Prepare and maintain records of products shipped and track shipments.

Pay Range and Benefits
Pay Range: $23‑$25 per hour. The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
