Qualifications
Eligible for a Media Specialist (P-12) Georgia Teaching Certificate or in the process of obtaining a Media degree.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse population.
Possess integrity and high standards of ethics.

Primary Function
To support students and staff by providing media and technology services and resources designed to promote intellectual growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Serves as a liaison between the school and other agencies in regards to media and technology issues.
Communicates the school’s goals and priorities regarding media programs to the public.
Incorporates technology into media management functions in order to minimize time required for routine activities and ensure maximum access to resources.
Maintains awareness of new developments in technology and provides relevant information to teachers, administrators, and students.
Participates in the formation and ensures convening of media committee.
Recomends media plan, policies and procedures.
Conducts media plan activities.
Coordinates an annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the media program and activities and makes revisions when necessary.
Maintains circulation and retrieval system.
Analyzes collection based on curriculum objectives.
Plans with staff to incorporate resources into instruction.
Additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
