Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - FT D Days
Minutes from Monterrey and Carmel on the coast! Our client is a 25 bed Critical Access not for profit hospital centrally located in California. Minutes to wine country and over 300 wineries, mountains or the beach.
Compensation & Benefits
Day shift 4 10 hour shifts (4 x 10 hour shifts, 3 days off per week)
Base salary $156,000.00 - $206,310.00, depending on experience
Sign-On Bonus $5,000.00 - $7,500.00
CME $3,000.00 per year
Relocation Reimbursement negotiable
Paid Time Off 29 days/year to start
Low healthcare premiums
Health coverage begins the 1st of the month following start date
Job Duties
Provides advanced nursing care and physician support during the treatment of pediatric patients. Key responsibilities include:
Obtains patient history, screens patients to ensure appropriate physical/mental development
Administers immunizations, orders tests or scans, diagnoses illnesses, prescribes medicines and outlines and monitors courses of treatment
Partners with physicians in the development of care plans and advises physician in changes of patient status
Assists patients in management of chronic illnesses and promotes health and wellness
Performs school or extra-curricular physical examinations
Adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records
Qualifications
Completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Advanced degree in nursing (MSN or DNP) with RN and NP licensure
2 to 4 years of related experience
Current license as Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner with the Board of Registered Nursing in the State of California
Required passing of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Boards exam
Current AHA BLS certified; Current AHA ACLS certified (if submitting privileges for inpatient setting)
Licensing and Certification Requirements
Current certification by one of the following boards: American Nurses Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, National Certification Corporation for Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties, or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
Successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program that conforms to the Board’s educational standards set forth in the California Code of Regulations Section 1484 for California graduates only, OR current certification by one of the following boards
