We’re seeking a Lead Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship and can deliver reliable smart‑home systems for discerning clients. The right candidate has strong Control4 expertise and a solid understanding of audio, video, networking, and control systems, including system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and low‑voltage wiring.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and service Control4 and other integrated AV, networking, and home automation systems
Terminate and install low‑voltage cabling and ensure clean, code‑compliant, high‑performance installations
Troubleshoot audio, video, networking, and control systems—both simple and complex
Interpret project blueprints and system schematics to execute installations accurately
Communicate daily progress and issues to the Project Manager
Consistently document work performed in Daisy project management tools, including change‑order triggers, wiring records, and as‑built notes
Act as the on‑site point of contact for clients, designers, builders, and architects
Lead system commissioning, verification, and client walk‑throughs to ensure systems perform to Daisy standards
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in excellent condition
Mentor and lead junior technicians as needed
Deliver service that meets Daisy’s standards for quality, reliability, and professionalism
Qualifications
4‑7+ years of hands‑on experience with low‑voltage integrated systems installation
Proficiency with Control4 systems; experience with Savant, Crestron, and/or Josh.ai is a plus
Strong knowledge of AV, networking, and smart home technologies
Positive, customer‑focused attitude and a strong work ethic
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
Ability to lead teams and manage workflow on‑site effectively
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks such as kneeling, standing, and climbing
High school diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Must pass a background check and drug screening
