Job Description

Compensation: pay range $15.50 - $21.50 . The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums, paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Location: Baldwinsville, NY (and surrounding areas mentioned in listing). Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions
Promote and follow company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.).
Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls per company policy, looking up parts, quoting prices, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
Maintain and secure the cash drawer; handle cash/check transactions and processing of credit cards.
Process exchanges and returns for credit per company policies.
Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receipt, stocking, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.
Perform daily operational tasks including returns to distribution center, stock adjustments, and inventory cycle counts.
Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and eligibility requirements are met.
Perform in-store services (where state/local laws allow) such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing charging system, scanning trouble codes, replacing headlight capsules, etc.
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate, following driving eligibility requirements.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities
Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service; ability to multitask (phone and in-store) simultaneously.
Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service; ASE certification; multilingual fluency (Spanish highly desired).
