Do you have strong analytical and communication skills, like to work in a collaborative environment, and have a background in the US Department of Defense, US Military or Aerospace & Defense industry? We may have the perfect opportunity for you! As a Field Service Technician IV, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field‑related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn‑key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Qualifications You Must Have High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Higher‑level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques
Advanced electrical wiring skills
Prior experience with Linux and Java
Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
Ability to frequently travel outside the continental U.S., typically for extended periods of time
Qualifications We Prefer Experience with FCC or FCC GROL
Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Pilot Static Equipment gauges
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Military
Security Clearance and Eligibility This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non‑U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
