Network Operations Technician
Location: Ashburn, VA
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr
About the Role
LEAD Technical is seeking a Network Operations Technician to support data-center physical network operations for one of the world’s leading hyperscale clients. This role focuses on hands‑on implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the physical network layer in a secured, SLA‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily physical network checks, cabling audits, and equipment installations
Support structured cabling, fiber tracing, labeling, and documentation updates
Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network hardware installation and removal
Respond to incident tickets (P1–P3), perform on‑site triage, and elevate issues as required
Collaborate with remote engineering teams to verify device connectivity and physical layout
Maintain compliance with security, safety, and ESD standards
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in data‑center or network operations
Strong hands‑on skills with copper and fiber cabling standards (Cat6, SM/MM, LC/SC)
Familiarity with Arista, Cisco, or Juniper environments
Associate degree in Networking or related field (or equivalent experience)
CompTIA Network+ or CCNA preferred
