Your Role as Charge Nurse (LPN)
We are seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community. In this role you will oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and compliance with state, federal, and company standards. You’ll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.
Summary
The Charge Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance. This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, maintains accurate documentation, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.
What You’ll Do
Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts
Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures
Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs
Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation as needed
Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met
Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect
Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety

Licensure / Certification
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
Experience & Skills
Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
Strong communication, leadership, and clinical judgment skills
Experience in skilled nursing, long‑term care, or senior living preferred
