Position Summary:
Performs laboratory analysis of municipal water and wastewater in compliance with NMED/EPA standards.
Position Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
AA or AS Degree in Utility Operation or equivalent.
Education must have included 12 semester hours of university level chemistry or biology or six weeks’ direct experience in lab setting.
NM Operator Level III Certification in Wastewater; or Wastewater Laboratory Technician Level II
NM Class D Driver’s License
Two (2) years’ experience in laboratory analysis of water or wastewater
Working knowledge of Federal and State monitoring requirements
Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
