Job Description
Duties
Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
Perform routine procedures such as blood draws, wound care, and IV catheterization
Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples
Clean and maintain equipment including surgical instruments and work areas
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
Perform therapeutic laser treatments after receiving company‑supplied laser safety certification
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical procedures
Experience with critical care and emergency situations as well as general medicine
Ability to handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
Requirements
Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and have a willingness to learn and teach
High school diploma or equivalent required
