Overview
The Material/Equipment Coordinator II will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.
The Material/Equipment Coordinator II typically supports a larger/more complex or multiple departments and larger base of customers by providing administrative support that includes filling equipment needs/orders, processing invoices, maintaining equipment logs, and the like.
Responsibilities
Executes assigned tasks related to equipment and/or materials needs
Contacts appropriate vendors for equipment availability and pricing
Issues purchase orders to pre-selected vendors
Arranges for delivery of equipment
Ensures all deliveries are made to the project/field in a timely manner and proactively communicates delivery schedules
Assists with return of equipment at end of rental period
Identifies damaged equipment and quantifies shortages during the return process.
Acts as a front-line point of contact for the project team, designer, and shop personnel to ensure the timely
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; minimum of two (2) years related experience (and/or training).
Familiarity with industry jargon
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Proficient with Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a team environment § Ability to provide strong customer service
Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Work is a combination of office and field environments involving various types of conditions encountered in a warehouse, maintenance facility and construction site.
Involves exposure to outside weather and field conditions
