Job Description Physical Therapist I - Calumet City Full-Time Days

In this role as a Physical Therapist you will examine, evaluate, test and work to alleviate mechanical, physiological or developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or other health and movement related conditions; classifying these disorders, determining a rehabilitation prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention and assessing the ongoing effects of the interventions.

Essential Job Functions
Evaluates patients utilizing advanced/specialized tests and measurements to determine the physical therapy problem/level of function and the expected discharge environment.
Promotes and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs of adult patients.
Establishes a treatment plan based upon the evaluation findings in collaboration with the patient/family, the referring practitioner, and therapist's goals.
Performs advanced/specialized physical therapy techniques and procedures.
Treats patients with complex problems (e.g., co-morbidities and/or poor previous outcomes); consults on difficult cases for staff and referring practitioners.
Documents findings, patient progress, procedures performed, and time required.
Instructs patient/families in home programs.
Demonstrates effective time management and achieves designated productivity standards.
Performs comprehensive evaluations to assess musculoskeletal conditions.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program with minimum Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
Licensed, or eligible, in the state of Illinois with notification of eligibility for examination.
Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Open to New Grads.
