The Paramedic cannot perform any service outside the scope of practice of his or her certificate to practice. Position Summary The paramedic is responsible for providing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by the RN. Care is provided in collaboration and under the guidance of the ED attending physician and in conjunction with the nurses in the ED with the patient, family, and other members of the patient-focused care team. Overall responsibilities are to assist the team in meeting patient care needs.
