The Financial Analyst - is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily financial operations of the Columbus office. This role ensures that construction projects are accurately forecasted and achieve the expected profitability. If you're passionate about negotiating contracts, creating estimates, and maintaining project budgets, this opportunity is for you! Responsibilities:
Coordinate with project operations to ensure all financial aspects of active projects are thoroughly reviewed and analyzed before capital is committed Schedule and oversee the content of monthly job projection (MPSR) meetings Ensure accurate cost estimates for all projects within the location Coordinate weekly job cost reviews with operations to compare actual costs against projected estimates Oversee change management processes in collaboration with project operations Manage and review all purchase orders and subcontract submissions to Purchasing, ensuring costs align with project estimates Ensure timely weekly and monthly billings, and work with project operations to meet monthly billing targets Assist the Director of Finance with any inquiries related to job cost reporting Approve and allocate expenses to the appropriate GL accounts for the location Report and address any questions from the Director of Finance regarding job cost reporting Manage the accurate set-up and closing of all new jobs within the location Continuously analyze project risks and take steps to mitigate them Assist in the development of the annual budget Will utilize the VISTA software for accounting and back-office management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required or 2-3 years of equivalent work experience Ability to work in a multi-task environment and prioritize workload Excellent negotiation skills Able to work in a team environment Accuracy and a strong attention to details is a must Great communication skills, both verbally and written
